Get good At Golf

Why can’t you get best at golf? Whats holding you from shooting the scores you want to shoot? Although it is impossible for me to know what is exactly going on in your game. I can help with some basics that will help you get best at golf.

Some of the most common problems I see with golfers today, is that you never convention your short game. I know, I know. It is no fun practicing the short game. It is a lot more fun whipping out your driver and pounding ball after ball on the range. However, that won’t help you get best at golf.

Iron Left-Handed Golf Club

So what will? Your short game. 80% of the shots taken occur from 100 yards and within. Think about it. It takes nearby 2 shots, your tee shot and arrival shot, to get within 100 yards. That’s 36 shots per 18 holes.

Get good At Golf

If you shoot in the 70s, the other 36 to 44 shots come from within 100 yards. If you shoot in the 80s the other 44 to 54 shots come from within 100 yards. If you shoot in the 90s the other 54 to 64 shots come from within 100 yards. If you shoot in the 100s the other 64+ shots come from within 100 yards.

Is it clear how you can get best at golf yet?

Get A best Short Game!

The most common problem I see in a person’s short game, is that they hit inconsistent shots. One chip will be fat, the other will be skulled, the other will be left short, the other will be way long.

So what can you do to hit more consistent short game shots?

For starters, I don’t want you to be using your lob wedge, 60 degree. It does way more harm than any good. I only want you using a sandwedge and higher, so a pitching wedge, 9 iron, 8 iron, etc…

I am going to give you two short game drills to help you get best at golf.

The first is called the flamingo drill.

What you do is set up to your chip shot, feet together and at a 45 degree angle. You take your back foot, (right foot if you are right-handed, and left if you are left-handed) and left it up. You can use your tippy toes to help you balance. This will put all your weight on your front foot and force you to hit down on the ball giving you solid caress shot after shot.

This will eliminate those fat and skulled shots. This will help you get best at golf.

For length operate here is an additional one drill, or more like a game you can play with yourself or a friend.

It is called the ladder game.

What you do is find a hole that you can chip too, one that has plenty of length in the middle of you and the hole.

Then you hit chip shots, not trying to get it to the hole, but trying to see how many golf balls you can get within each other.

So lets say you find a hole that is 20 yards from you. You want to hit a chip shot nearby 5 yards, then take an additional one ball and you want to chip it to nearby 7 yds. You want to see how many balls you can get in the middle of you and the hole. Each ball must go farther than the last. Then climb your way back if you wish.

This will for sure help you get best at golf and lower your scores.

Comparing Golf Putter Styles

Blade and Mallet are the two main choices when it comes to putter head designs. Determining which golf putter head type is best for you will take some consideration and trial. Naturally reading about putters will not be sufficient to settle which will best meet your needs, but it is a good start.

The main objective of a flourishing putting stroke is to recreate a pendulum swing. You want a simple plane motion, which enables the face of the putter to hit the ball squarely time after time. And, you must be able to align the putter face perpendicular to the intended line of the putt.

Iron Left-Handed Golf Club

Golf putting styles have many variations and are said to be as individual as the golfer. Based on the chosen golf putter types, golfers adapt a style that becomes their signature, their mark. Let’s take basketball for example, you can identify players by the way they slam dunk and operate the ball. The same identification is applied to the golfer, and their swing and putting style.

Comparing Golf Putter Styles

A big part of a golfer’s putting style is centered nearby the type of putter they pick to use. Typically there are three main styles of putters.

Let’s start with the longest and work our way down. The first are the long/broomstick putters and face-on/side saddle putters. These usually reach to about chest height on the golfer. They allow for a good pendulum swing without having to bend over or lean forward. The top of the club is anchored against the body with one hand and the other hand provides the motive force to move the putter stroke back and through. This style eliminates any tendency for the golfer to get “handsy” and smooths out the stroke for improved consistency. Typically this is a great choice for seniors, or those with back concerns. This style is especially helpful for those golfers who have lost their reliance in making short putts.

The next style is the mid/belly putter. The single length of this putter allows you to stabilize the upper end against your stomach. The putter is held with both hands. The arms are pretty fully extended to minimize wrist action. This style creates a garage environment for you to steady the putter and keep it right while the full petition of the putting stroke.

The last style of putter is the accepted putter. This putter is about the same size as most short iron or wedge clubs. It reaches to about the waist area, and allows you slightly more arm movement if so desired. There are many putting grip variations used. accepted reverse overlap, left hand low, claw, split and even hockey grips are used depending on the golfer’s preference. Posture is either arms right or arms bent. Modern golfers use the arms hanging right posture.

The key to finding a flourishing putting style is to find which putter and technique you are most comfortable with. You want the movement to be as natural and plane as possible. Once you find your most comfortable putter, you can then begin to custom and tailor your technique to help you enhance and specialist your game.

The golf putter type prime by a golfer must reconsider allinclusive weighting, alignment features, required set up position and posture, type of stroke (straight back/straight through) or (gate open/gate close), and allinclusive aesthetics of appearance. Weight and Lie Angle adjustment range are important for achieving the greatest exquisite fit.
